Unfortunately for the movie makers they ended up staying inside editing on the computer so I was on my own on the slopes overlooking the cove. I stopped at Shackleton&#8217;s grave to soak up some rays of sun. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8290.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8290.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"DSCN8290\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3965 colorbox-3963\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI skinned up alongside the waterfall and then had to remove my skis to front point up a very steep portion. Once up to Gull Lake which is frozen over I did a circuit along the shore of the lake which was beautiful snow conditions. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8303.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8303.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"DSCN8303\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3966 colorbox-3963\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSkinning self portrait!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8308.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8308.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"DSCN8308\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3968 colorbox-3963\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhile sitting in the sun having lunch looking over the pancake ice covered cove Pat and Sarah skinned by on their way to Penguin River. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8310.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.racingyachtmanagement.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/DSCN8310.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"DSCN8310\" width=\"366\" height=\"336\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3970 colorbox-3963\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nPat and Sarah far below. The next person tempted out was Tommy for some snow boarding to the left of the track. The conditions were absolutely beautiful and I did two runs before the sun went below the mountains leaving the slope in the shade. I decided it was time to retire to the boatshed ramp where the sun stayed a a while longer.
